Bio

Table tennis has shaped a large part of my life. Countless training sessions, competitions and journeys, successes and disappointments – and so many unforgettable experiences that I owe to this sport.

From the age of 12, I had the opportunity to train and develop alongside the best players in the country as a member of Hungary’s national youth team. As a cadet, I reached 13th place in the European rankings, and later, as a junior national team player, I competed in numerous domestic and international tournaments, winning several medals.

I also had the opportunity to train in China on several occasions, where I experienced first-hand their training methods, technical approach and mentality towards the sport.

As a senior player, I competed in the Hungarian Extraliga for many years and achieved Final Four finishes with several different teams.

Meet coach Sebi

It’s important to me that anyone who comes to train with me doesn’t just learn strokes and technique, but also discovers the variety of table tennis and the creativity the sport has to offer.

In my training sessions, I value playing with freedom and ease rather than trying too hard or becoming tense. Of course, we work on technique, footwork, tactics, and whatever areas you personally want to improve – but at the same time, I don’t want you to lose sight of what probably made you start playing table tennis in the first place: the enjoyment of the game.

I believe – and have seen many times – that when someone plays in a more relaxed and natural way, improvement comes more easily too.

Whether you’re just discovering table tennis or you’ve been playing for years and want to take the next step technically or tactically, I always tailor the training sessions to your level and your goals.

Favourite table tennis memory

It’s difficult to pick out just one memory because there are so many. Perhaps the matches that have stayed with me most are those when, during the game, I suddenly found myself in a state of flow.

In those moments, the thinking and effort disappeared, and everything just seemed to happen naturally. It was a truly special feeling. Two matches like this stand out in particular: one at an international tournament in Sweden, and the other in China, during the final tournament.

Outside of SPINCITY

I teach mindfulness, and I’m also the father of a wonderful two-year-old.
