Meet coach Miad

The path I took to becoming a professional table tennis player was a difficult one, full of trial, error, and mistakes. Here, I want to distill everything I’ve learned — both on the training floor with different coaches, and through university and academic research — into the simplest, most practical form possible. I have a deep passion for teaching everything I’ve learned to anyone who loves table tennis, and I see this as a duty I owe to the sport and everything it has taught me.

Favourite quote

“Better to journey through the desert than to lie asleep in heedlessness. Even if I never reach my destination, I will strive with all the strength I have.”

Favourite table tennis memory

One of the most memorable moments of my sports career was when I had to win the national championship twice to be selected for the national team at the World Championships in Budapest —something few people expected. Within a three-month span, I won the national title twice and earned my place on the national team.

Outside of SPINCITY

I’m currently learning a new field and doing a lot of reading on it. I’m also developing a group focused on environmental support work.
